As a mitigation, implement a validate_device_code method in the RequestValidator to properly validate the device_code parameter in token requests, ensuring it is present and valid. Additionally, ensure that DeviceCodeGrant.validate_token_request performs validation of device_code similar to other grant types. Review client authentication logic to properly handle public clients and prevent unauthorized token issuance.

Description

OAuthLib's implementation of the RFC 8628 device workflow contains a vulnerability where the token endpoint does not validate the device_code parameter. This allows an attacker who knows a valid client ID for a public client configured for the device workflow to obtain a bearer token without a valid device_code. The flaw arises because DeviceCodeGrant.validate_token_request lacks proper validation of the device_code parameter, unlike other grant types. This can lead to unauthorized issuance of bearer tokens.
