Until a fix is available, avoid passing untrusted or attacker-controlled data to schemaless BER, CER, or DER decoders in pyasn1 to mitigate CPU exhaustion risk.
Description
CVE-2026-119194 is a high-severity vulnerability in the pyasn1 library used by parsedmarc, where schemaless decoding of BER, CER, or DER data with many distinct long tag IDs causes quadratic CPU usage. This can lead to excessive CPU consumption and potential denial of service when processing attacker-controlled inputs. The issue arises from inefficient handling of TagSet insertions during decoding. No confidentiality or integrity impacts are reported.
