Path traversal on Windows in Apache MINA SSHD component sshd-git. (CVE-2026-56623)
Description
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the Apache MINA SSHD component sshd-git when running on Windows. This flaw allows an authenticated remote user to access git repositories outside the configured server-side root directory. The issue arises because path validation applied in versions 2.18.0 and 3.0.0-M4 is partly ineffective on Windows. The vulnerability affects applications using sshd-git on Windows and is fixed in Apache MINA SSHD 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M5.
