AI-suggested
A patch is available in perl-DBI version 1.648-9.oe2403sp4 that fixes this vulnerability. Users should upgrade to this version or later to remediate the issue. Until patched, avoid setting the DBI_PROFILE environment variable or Profile Path with untrusted input to prevent triggering the crash.
Description
A vulnerability in perl-DBI versions before 1.648-9.oe2403sp4 allows a crash via type confusion in the dbi_profile feature when a database handle is destroyed under a Profile Path containing an {attr} element. This occurs because the code dereferences an invalid pointer during attribute lookup, leading to a segmentation fault (SIGSEGV).
