AI-suggested

Apply the official fixes by upgrading to Python versions 3.8.20, 3.9.20, 3.10.15, 3.11.10, or 3.12.4 or later, which contain the corrected ipaddress module data. Since patches are available, updating to these versions is the recommended remediation.

Description

The Python ipaddress module had incorrect data regarding which IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are considered private or globally reachable. This caused the is_private and is_global properties to return inaccurate results for certain addresses. The issue was corrected in Python versions 3.8.20, 3.9.20, 3.10.15, 3.11.10, and 3.12.4 by updating the module with the latest IANA Special-Purpose Address Registries data.
