Rabbitmq server: RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. (CVE-2026-66068)
Description
RabbitMQ versions prior to 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0 contain a vulnerability where autodelete shovel completion with DEBUG logging enabled causes plaintext AMQP URIs, including embedded credentials, to be written to broker log files. This occurs because the shovel state map is fully formatted without redacting sensitive URI information. The issue requires the Shovel plugin enabled, DEBUG log level, autodelete shovel configuration, and attacker log read access.

Technical Analysis
In affected RabbitMQ versions, when an autodelete shovel completes, the broker logs the entire shovel state map at DEBUG level, including decrypted URIs containing plaintext credentials. This happens because the logging function formats the state map without a callback to redact sensitive fields such as 'uris'. The vulnerability requires the Shovel plugin to be enabled, DEBUG logging active, and autodelete shovel configured. An attacker with read access to the broker logs can obtain sensitive AMQP credentials. The issue is fixed in RabbitMQ versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0.
Potential Impact
An attacker with read access to RabbitMQ broker logs can obtain plaintext AMQP URIs containing embedded credentials due to sensitive information being logged when autodelete shovels complete under DEBUG logging. This exposure can lead to credential compromise and unauthorized access to messaging resources.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade RabbitMQ to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, or 4.3.0 or later where this issue is fixed. Alternatively, avoid enabling DEBUG logging level or autodelete shovel configurations until patched. Restrict log file access to trusted users to prevent unauthorized reading of sensitive information.
