AI-suggested
Red Hat has released fixed packages for 389-ds-base in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 Update Services for SAP Solutions and Extended Life Cycle variants. Users should apply the update to version 2.2.4-19.el9_2 or later to remediate these vulnerabilities. Refer to Red Hat's official update instructions at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 for detailed guidance. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor.
Description
Two security vulnerabilities have been identified in the 389 Directory Server component of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2. These include a heap buffer overflow triggered by a padded SASL UNBIND operation (CVE-2026-11610) and an integer overflow in SASL packet length that bypasses size limits leading to a heap buffer overflow (CVE-2026-11774). Both issues relate to the handling of SASL packets in the LDAP server. Red Hat has released security updates addressing these flaws in version 2.2.4-19.el9_2 of the 389-ds-base package.
