Red Hat has released updated FreeRDP packages (version 2.11.7-1.el9_6.12 and related) that address these vulnerabilities. Users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 Extended Update Support and related variants should apply these official security updates promptly. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the provided patches.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in FreeRDP, a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). These include arbitrary code execution via malicious RDP files, denial of service through crafted WindowIcon async messages, HTTP proxy request injection via redirection, and remote code execution or denial of service via audio input integer overflow. The vulnerabilities affect Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 Extended Update Support and related variants. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory with updates to address these issues.
