What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released security updates for FreeRDP in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support. Users should apply these official patches promptly to remediate the vulnerabilities. Refer to the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:58711 and the update instructions at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 for detailed guidance. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the provided updates.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in FreeRDP, a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol client. These include remote code execution, denial of service, double-free, HTTP proxy request injection, and integer overflow issues. The vulnerabilities can be triggered via crafted RDP files, messages, or audio input, potentially allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code or disrupt service. Red Hat has issued an important security update for FreeRDP in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support to address these issues.
