No mitigation or patch currently meets Red Hat's criteria for deployment and stability. Consider restricting access to services that parse untrusted SQL inputs to reduce exposure.

Description

CVE-2026-54284 is a vulnerability in the sqlparse Python module used by Red Hat Lightspeed in Satellite. It involves inefficient handling of nested token subtrees during SQL parsing, leading to quadratic CPU consumption. This can be exploited remotely by an unauthenticated attacker submitting crafted deeply nested SQL statements, causing denial of service by exhausting CPU resources and making the service unresponsive.
