What to do
AI-suggested
Red Hat has made a new satellite/iop-host-inventory-frontend-rhel9 container image generally available. However, no specific fix for CVE-2026-29063 in Red Hat Satellite has been released yet. Users should follow Red Hat Satellite documentation for installing and configuring Red Hat Lightspeed and monitor Red Hat advisories for updates. Since exploitation requires supplying crafted data to the vulnerable APIs, restricting access to trusted users and validating input may reduce risk until a fix is available.
Description
CVE-2026-29063 is a Prototype Pollution vulnerability in the Immutable.js library used by Red Hat Lightspeed in Satellite. This flaw allows an attacker with low privileges to inject properties into JavaScript object prototypes via certain APIs, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or denial of service. Exploitation requires the attacker to supply crafted data to affected functions, typically needing some level of access to the application. Red Hat has made a new container image generally available but has not yet released a specific fix for this vulnerability in Satellite. The vulnerability is rated as high severity by Red Hat.
