AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated gstreamer1-plugins-good packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Extended Life Cycle Long Life and related variants that fix these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the gstreamer1-plugins-good package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4. These include unbounded memory growth in RTP depayloaders (CVE-2026-18649), an unsigned integer underflow leading to out-of-bounds read/write in avidemux FUJIFILM strd parsing (CVE-2026-73433), and an out-of-bounds read in avidemux vprp video field descriptor parsing (CVE-2026-73434). The update addresses these issues to prevent potential memory and memory corruption problems.
