AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated iscsi-initiator-utils packages that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Update Services for SAP Solutions as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258). No other mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Two security vulnerabilities were identified in the open-iscsi component of the iscsi-initiator-utils package used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Update Services for SAP Solutions. The first vulnerability (CVE-2026-44944) allows authentication bypass via the iscsiuio control socket. The second vulnerability (CVE-2026-44943) enables privilege escalation through a path traversal flaw. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory and released updates to address these issues.
