What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released an updated kernel package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux for ARM 64 10 that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the update as described in the Red Hat advisory and reboot their systems to ensure the fixes take effect. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official update and rebooting.

Description

Red Hat has issued a security advisory for the Linux kernel packages in Red Hat Enterprise Linux for ARM 64 10. The update addresses two vulnerabilities: CVE-2026-43499, which fixes an issue in the rtmutex code by using waiter::task instead of current in remove_waiter(), and CVE-2026-53166, which prevents a NULL pointer dereference in futex/requeue during remove_waiter() on self-deadlock. These fixes prevent potential kernel-level issues related to task handling and memory dereferencing. The update requires a system reboot to take effect.
