What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated kernel packages that address these vulnerabilities. Users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support and related products should apply the kernel update as provided in advisory RHSA-2026:4246 and reboot their systems to ensure the fixes take effect. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official update and rebooting.

Description

This Red Hat security advisory addresses multiple vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support. The issues include use-after-free vulnerabilities in RDMA/rxe and page_pool components, a double free vulnerability in the exFAT filesystem leading to denial of service, a bug in IPv6 packet handling, and a fix for the in-kernel MMIO check for x86/tdx. These vulnerabilities have been rated with moderate security impact by Red Hat. The update requires a system reboot to take effect.
