Description

CVE-2025-7783 is a vulnerability in the form-data JavaScript library used by Kiali 2.4.8 in Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh 3.0. The issue arises from the use of Math.random() for generating multipart form-data boundaries, which can be predictable if an attacker can observe other random values and control a request field. This predictability could allow bypassing security controls or manipulating form data. The vulnerability does not affect host systems and its impact is limited to applications using the vulnerable library. No effective mitigation is currently available that meets Red Hat's criteria.
