Description
A security update for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 addresses a vulnerability in the kernel live patch module related to the uvcvideo driver. The flaw involves improper parsing of frames of type UVC_VS_UNDEFINED in the uvc_parse_format function, identified as CVE-2024-53104. This issue is fixed by skipping the parsing of these undefined frame types. The update requires a system reboot to take effect.
