AI-suggested
A security update for libkcapi is available from Red Hat for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support. Users should apply the update as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these vulnerabilities. No additional mitigations are specified by the vendor.
Description
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in libkcapi, a library that provides user-space access to the Linux kernel crypto API. The issues include IV reuse causing cipher state resets across chunk boundaries, memory corruption due to uncanceled asynchronous I/O requests on error, and an infinite loop denial of service caused by unhandled timeout returns. These vulnerabilities affect Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support versions. A security update addressing these issues is available from Red Hat.
