Description
A SQL injection vulnerability (CVE-2026-44172) exists in the MariaDB Native Client library (C driver) due to improper handling of the big5 character set with the mysql_real_escape_string() function. This flaw affects applications developed in C/C++ that connect to MariaDB and MySQL databases using this client library. Red Hat has issued a security update for mariadb-connector-c in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 to address this issue.
