Detailed update instructions are available in the Red Hat advisory and knowledge base article referenced. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the mod_md module of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 Extended Update Support allows unrestricted OCSP responses to cause resource exhaustion. The mod_md module automates certificate provisioning using the ACME protocol for managed domains and virtual hosts. This security flaw could lead to denial of service conditions due to resource exhaustion triggered by malicious OCSP responses. Red Hat has issued a security update addressing this issue in mod_md version 2.4.26-1.el9_6.2 for multiple architectures.
