Description

CVE-2025-47913 is a vulnerability in the golang.org/x/crypto/ssh/agent package used by Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization v4.20 images. The flaw causes the SSH agent client to panic when receiving an unexpected SSH_AGENT_SUCCESS message type, leading to a denial of service by terminating the client process. This can be exploited by a malicious or misbehaving SSH agent or forwarded connection to crash processes relying on SSH agent interactions, impacting availability in environments such as shared workspaces or CI/CD pipelines. No mitigation is currently available that meets Red Hat's standards, and a fix has not yet been released.
