Red Hat has released updated opentelemetry-collector packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as detailed in Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:95016 and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 to remediate these issues.
Description
Multiple denial of service vulnerabilities and a man-in-the-middle vulnerability affect the Red Hat build of OpenTelemetry Collector. These issues involve crafted HTTP Range headers, excessive HTTP/2 SETTINGS frames, memory limit bypass in multipart form parsing, multiple ECH outer extension references, and untrusted intermediate certificates. Red Hat has released an important security update addressing these flaws for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support.
