Red Hat has released updated python-tornado packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official update.
Description
Two security vulnerabilities have been identified in the python-tornado package used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support. The first is a denial of service vulnerability triggered by large multipart bodies (CVE-2026-31958). The second is a cookie attribute injection vulnerability caused by improper handling of cookie arguments (CVE-2026-35536). Red Hat has issued a security advisory with updated python-tornado packages addressing these issues.
