Red Hat has released updated python3.14-cryptography packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and its extended support versions that fix these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate the issues. No additional mitigations are specified or required beyond applying the official update.
Description
Two security vulnerabilities have been identified in the python-cryptography package used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. One vulnerability (CVE-2026-69249) involves duplicate self-signed intermediates causing exponential path-building, and the other (CVE-2026-69248) involves the verifier accepting wildcard DNS names that allow escape from permittedSubtrees. Red Hat has released an important security update for python3.14-cryptography to address these issues.
