Red Hat is investigating and may release a fix in the future. No specific mitigations are currently documented. Customers with Red Hat Technical Account Managers (TAM) can consult them for guidance. If you cannot patch yet, consider limiting exposure of affected services to untrusted networks if possible.
Description
A vulnerability in Apache Thrift used by Red Hat AI Base Images 3.3.3 (Neuron) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending specially crafted highly compressed data. This improper handling of data amplification leads to resource exhaustion and service disruption. The issue affects Red Hat OpenShift AI and related products using vulnerable Thrift bindings.
