AI-suggested

Red Hat states that available mitigation options do not meet their criteria for deployment or stability. Users should avoid processing untrusted SQLite databases with the vulnerable FTS5 extension until a fix is released. Customers with a Red Hat Technical Account Manager (TAM) can seek direct guidance.

Description

A vulnerability exists in SQLite's FTS5 full-text search extension used by Red Hat AI Inference Server 3.3.7 (ROCm). The flaw involves memory corruption through out-of-bounds reads and heap buffer overflows triggered by crafted databases with malformed FTS5 page data. Exploitation requires processing a malicious SQLite database, potentially leading to process crashes, memory exhaustion, or arbitrary code execution.
