What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released an update for Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 containers that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the update to their affected Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 installations to remediate these issues. The update includes patched versions of the ansible.controller and ansible.platform collections. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 Container Release Update addresses two security vulnerabilities: a Jinja sandbox breakout via the attr filter selecting the format method (CVE-2025-27516) and a potential denial-of-service vulnerability in django.utils.text.wrap() (CVE-2025-26699). These issues affect the ansible-lightspeed-container component. The update also includes fixes for non-security issues and updates to ansible.controller and ansible.platform collections.
