AI-suggested
Red Hat has released an updated version of their build of Quarkus (3.27.6.SP1) that includes the fix for this vulnerability by upgrading jackson-databind to version 2.21.8. Users should apply this update after ensuring all previously released relevant errata have been applied. Detailed update instructions are available from Red Hat's official documentation.
Description
Red Hat has released an important security update for its build of Quarkus 3.27.6.SP1 that addresses a vulnerability in the jackson-databind library. The flaw involves a PolymorphicTypeValidator bypass via generic type arguments and array element types, which allows arbitrary class instantiation. This update fixes CVE-2026-110879, an incomplete fix for a previous vulnerability CVE-2026-54512.
