AI-suggested
Currently, there is no mitigation available that meets Red Hat Product Security criteria for ease of use, deployment, applicability, or stability. Since the vulnerability is limited to applications using the form-data library, assessing exposure in your environment is recommended. Red Hat does not provide an official patch or workaround at this time.
Description
A vulnerability (CVE-2025-7783) has been identified in the form-data JavaScript library used by Red Hat Developer Hub 1.8.0. The issue involves predictable random number generation via Math.random() for multipart form boundary values. This predictability could allow an attacker who can observe other Math.random() outputs and control a form field to potentially bypass security controls or manipulate form data. The flaw does not affect host systems and its impact is limited to applications integrating the vulnerable library. No effective mitigation currently meets Red Hat's criteria for ease of use and deployment.
