Red Hat provides updated RPM packages that fix this vulnerability in the Red Hat Hardened Images. Applying these updates will remediate the issue. Alternatively, disabling the mod_md module and restarting httpd will mitigate the vulnerability. No other actions are required if mod_md is not in use.
Description
A vulnerability in the mod_md module of the Apache HTTP Server (httpd) allows a denial of service via memory exhaustion when processing OCSP responses from a malicious or compromised OCSP responder. This flaw affects configurations where mod_md is loaded and used. Disabling mod_md mitigates the issue. Red Hat has issued an update for Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs including httpd packages to address this issue.
