Currently, no mitigations meeting Red Hat Product Security criteria for ease of use, deployment, applicability, or stability are available. Users should apply updates once Red Hat releases the fix. Monitoring Red Hat advisories for the availability of patches is recommended.
Description
A moderate information disclosure vulnerability (CVE-2026-58649) exists in the .NET SDK used in Red Hat Hardened Images. The dotnet watch BrowserRefreshServer does not properly validate the origin of cross-origin WebSocket connections, allowing a remote unauthenticated attacker to retrieve compiled intermediate language assemblies and debug files from the development environment. This could expose confidential information. Red Hat rates this issue as medium severity with a CVSS 3.1 score of 6.5. A fix is currently being pursued but not yet available. No effective mitigation meeting Red Hat's criteria is currently provided.
