AI-suggested

Red Hat currently does not provide a mitigation that meets their criteria for ease of use, deployment, applicability, or stability. A fix is being pursued for the Red Hat Hardened Images grafana components. Users should apply the update once available. For other affected Red Hat products, fixes are deferred due to the moderate severity. Monitoring Red Hat advisories for updates is recommended.

Description

A moderate severity vulnerability (CVE-2026-109955) exists in the Hono web framework used in Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs, including grafana12.4. The flaw involves a double path decoding issue in the serveStatic middleware, allowing remote unauthenticated attackers to bypass security middleware and access protected static files without authentication. The vulnerability does not allow path traversal outside the configured root. Red Hat is pursuing a fix for the affected grafana components in Hardened Images. No mitigation is currently available that meets Red Hat's criteria.
