Description

CVE-2025-22874 is a vulnerability in Go's crypto/x509 package affecting certificate validation. The flaw allows bypassing certificate policy validation when VerifyOptions.KeyUsages includes ExtKeyUsageAny, potentially enabling acceptance of invalid certificates. This can lead to spoofing attacks by tricking systems into trusting malicious certificates. Confidentiality and availability are not impacted. Red Hat OpenShift Builds 1.5.1 addresses this issue, and users of version 1.5.0 are recommended to upgrade. No mitigation other than upgrading is currently available.
