Description

CVE-2025-22874 is a vulnerability in the Go crypto/x509 package used by Red Hat OpenShift Builds. It allows improper certificate validation by bypassing policy constraints when ExtKeyUsageAny is used in VerifyOptions.KeyUsages. This flaw can cause the system to accept invalid certificates, potentially enabling spoofing attacks and weakening system integrity. Confidentiality and availability are not affected. Red Hat OpenShift Builds 1.5.1 addresses this issue, and users of version 1.5.0 are recommended to upgrade.
