Red Hat has released an official security update for Red Hat Directory Server 11.5 on RHEL 8.6 that addresses all listed vulnerabilities. Users should apply this update promptly following Red Hat's guidance at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No alternative mitigations or workarounds are specified in the advisory.
Description
Red Hat Directory Server 11.5 for RHEL 8.6 has multiple critical security vulnerabilities including pre-authentication LDAP filter injection, NULL pointer dereferences, stack and heap buffer overflows, privilege escalation via SASL PLAIN authentication, command injection in the Cockpit LDAP editor, and bypass of bind-rule checks by anonymous LDAP clients. These issues affect the 389-ds-base component and can lead to denial of service, privilege escalation, and command execution. Red Hat has released an update addressing these vulnerabilities along with bug fixes and enhancements.
