Currently, no mitigation or patch meeting Red Hat's criteria for ease of use, applicability, and stability is available. Employing network-level controls to restrict access to JWKS endpoints and monitoring for unusual redirect behavior may help reduce risk until an official fix is released.
Description
Red Hat has announced a Technology Preview container image for the satellite/foreman-mcp-server-rhel9, designed for advanced reporting and AI-driven data analysis within Red Hat Satellite. Among multiple CVEs associated with this advisory, CVE-2026-102267 is detailed as a significant vulnerability in the PyJWT library used for JSON Web Key Set (JWKS) retrieval. This flaw allows an attacker who can manipulate a trusted JWKS endpoint's HTTP redirect responses to redirect key requests to untrusted servers, potentially leading to acceptance of forged cryptographic keys or exposure of sensitive credentials. No patches or mitigations meeting Red Hat's criteria are currently available for this issue. The advisory does not specify affected product versions or confirm active exploitation in the wild.
