Red Hat has released updated Tomcat packages (version 9.0.87-1.el9_2.4) that address these vulnerabilities. Users running affected versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 and its variants should apply the security update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258). No additional mitigation steps are specified beyond applying the official update.
Description
Red Hat has issued a security advisory for Apache Tomcat addressing two vulnerabilities: CVE-2024-56337, an incomplete fix for a remote code execution (RCE) due to a time-of-check to time-of-use (TOCTOU) issue in JSP compilation, and CVE-2025-31650, a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability via a malformed HTTP/2 PRIORITY_UPDATE frame. The update is rated as Important by Red Hat Product Security and is available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 variants. Users are advised to apply the provided security update to remediate these issues.
