AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated Wireshark packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 that address these denial of service vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:83657 and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official update.
Description
Multiple denial of service vulnerabilities have been identified in Wireshark protocol dissectors, including C12.22, RRC, ESS, and H.245. These flaws could cause the application to crash or behave unexpectedly when processing specially crafted network traffic. Red Hat has released security updates for Wireshark packages in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 to address these issues.
