AI-suggested

A security update for containerd has been released that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the update to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

This security update for containerd addresses multiple vulnerabilities that can lead to denial of service (DoS) conditions and resource exhaustion. The issues include memory exhaustion via uncapped HTTP response body reading, DoS via maliciously crafted images, high CPU and memory usage caused by crafted OCI index graphs during image pulling, goroutine leaks leading to node-level DoS, and superlinear time complexity in unpacking certain image layers causing DoS. These vulnerabilities can cause container creation stalls and instability in the node or runtime environment.
