What to do
AI-suggested
A security update has been released by the SUSE Product Security Team to address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the official update to Epiphany as provided by their SUSE distribution to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated in the advisory.
Description
This security update for the Epiphany browser addresses two vulnerabilities: a path traversal issue in WebExtension XPI extraction (ZIP slip) and a JavaScript code injection vulnerability via unsanitized CSS selectors from element IDs in autofill functionality. Both vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to manipulate file paths or inject malicious code.
