Description

Budibase's AI chat-link handoff flow allows an attacker to confuse identity binding between external chat platforms and Budibase user accounts. The confirmation endpoint is publicly accessible without CSRF protection and exposes a confirmation token in plaintext within the HTML page. An attacker can create a chat-link session for their own external identity and trick a logged-in victim user from the same tenant to confirm it, causing the victim's Budibase user account to be linked to the attacker's external chat identity. This enables the attacker to act as the victim user within Budibase automations and AI agent operations, inheriting their permissions.
