Technical Analysis

The MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin versions prior to 3.7.46 contain a CWE-200 information exposure vulnerability. Specifically, the plugin does not verify authorization before disclosing sensitive per-student course enrollment and progress information. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to retrieve learning data of any registered user, potentially violating user privacy.

Potential Impact

An attacker without authentication can disclose the enrolled courses and learning progress data of any registered user. This results in unauthorized exposure of personal learning information but does not affect data integrity or availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or remediation details are provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the plugin or sensitive endpoints if possible.
