Until a fix is available, restrict search privileges to trusted users and monitor cluster health to detect abnormal resource consumption.
Description
CVE-2026-63136 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in Elasticsearch that allows a user with search privileges to submit a crafted search request causing excessive heap memory allocation. This leads to denial of service by making a data node unavailable and degrading the cluster. The issue requires manual intervention to restore service after exploitation.
