Upgrade Velocidex Velociraptor to version 0.76.5 or later, where this off-by-one error is fixed. No other mitigation is required as the vulnerability is addressed by the official patch.
Description
Velocidex Velociraptor versions prior to 0.76.5 contain an off-by-one error in the ConsumeUnit16Array and ConsumeUnit64Array functions. This flaw can be triggered on Windows and Linux by a local attacker supplying a specially crafted .evtx file to the parse_evtx VQL plugin, causing a process crash and resulting in a denial of service.
