AI-suggested

If you cannot patch yet, consider implementing input validation or limiting Content-Length values at a proxy or web server level to mitigate excessive memory allocation.

Description

Web::Simple versions before 0.035 for Perl have a vulnerability where the buffer allocation for urlencoded body parameters is determined by the Content-Length header without proper validation. This can lead to excessive memory allocation if an attacker sends a large Content-Length value but provides less data. The vulnerability does not require authentication and affects routes using % body-parameter matching.
