Description

YesWiki versions prior to 4.6.7 have a missing authorization vulnerability in the tags tool's listpagestag and includepages actions. This flaw allows unauthenticated or unprivileged attackers to enumerate page names and titles of pages protected by access control lists (ACLs) without proper read permission checks. The vulnerability can lead to unauthorized disclosure of page metadata but does not impact page content integrity or availability.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-104438 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in YesWiki before version 4.6.7 affecting the listpagestag and includepages actions of the tags tool. These actions fail to apply read-ACL filtering, enabling attackers without authentication or privileges to embed these actions with arbitrary tags or page names to enumerate the names and body-derived titles of ACL-restricted pages. This information disclosure vulnerability is classified under CWE-862 (Missing Authorization).

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows attackers to obtain the names and titles of pages that should be restricted by ACLs, potentially exposing sensitive metadata. However, it does not allow modification or deletion of pages, nor does it disclose full page content. The CVSS 3.1 base score is 5.3 (medium severity), reflecting network attack vector, low complexity, no privileges required, no user interaction, and limited confidentiality impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in YesWiki version 4.6.7 that addresses this missing authorization issue. Users should upgrade to version 4.6.7 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No vendor advisory was provided, so patch status is based on the version stated in the description. Until patched, restrict access to the affected actions or monitor for suspicious use if possible.
