Zyxel released official patches for CVE-2026-107441 on October 23, 2026, and published an advisory on November 3, 2026. Users of affected Zyxel GS1900 series switches should apply these patches immediately to remediate the vulnerability. Since the vulnerability is not in a cloud service, manual patching is required. No other mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory. The vulnerability is now fixed in the updated firmware versions provided by Zyxel.
Description
CVE-2026-107441 is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the CGI program of Zyxel GS1900 series switches that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute OS commands via crafted HTTP requests. The flaw was exploited in the wild as a zero-day before Zyxel released a patch on October 23, 2026. Approximately 1,000 devices were compromised in attacks initially misattributed to a different Zyxel vulnerability. Zyxel confirmed the new vulnerability after being notified by cybersecurity firm Binarly, which analyzed the malware variants used in the attacks. The vulnerability affects 10 models of the GS1900 series switches. Zyxel published an advisory on November 3, 2026, and released fixes to address the issue.
