The Everest Forms (Pro) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.7 via deserialization of untrusted input in the mime_content_type() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object. This vulnerability may be exploited by unauthenticated attackers when a form is present on the site with a non-required signature form field along with an image upload field. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present. This vulnerability is only exploitable in PHP versions prior to 8.
Taiga is an open source project management platform. In versions 6.8.3 and earlier, a remote code execution vulnerability exists in the Taiga API due to unsafe deserialization of untrusted data. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.0.
Rox, the software running BeWelcome, contains a PHP object injection vulnerability resulting from deserialization of untrusted data. User-controlled input is passed to PHP's unserialize(): the POST parameter `formkit_memory_recovery` in \\RoxPostHandler::getCallbackAction and the 'memory cookie' read by \\RoxModelBase::getMemoryCookie (bwRemember). (1) If present, `formkit_memory_recovery` is processed and passed to unserialize(), and (2) restore-from-memory functionality calls unserialize() on the bwRemember cookie value. Gadget chains present in Rox and bundled libraries enable exploitation of object injection to write arbitrary files or achieve remote code execution. Successful exploitation can lead to full site compromise. This vulnerability was remediated with commit c60bf04 (2025-06-16).
pyquokka is a framework for making data lakes work for time series. In versions 0.3.1 and prior, the FlightServer class directly uses pickle.loads() to deserialize action bodies received from Flight clients without any sanitization or validation in the do_action() method. The vulnerable code is located in pyquokka/flight.py at line 283 where arbitrary data from Flight clients is directly passed to pickle.loads(). When FlightServer is configured to listen on 0.0.0.0, this allows attackers across the entire network to perform arbitrary remote code execution by sending malicious pickled payloads through the set_configs action. Additional vulnerability points exist in the cache_garbage_collect, do_put, and do_get functions where pickle.loads is used to deserialize untrusted remote data.
A Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability exists in the Apache ActiveMQ NMS AMQP Client.
This issue affects all versions of Apache ActiveMQ NMS AMQP up to and including 2.3.0, when establishing connections to untrusted AMQP servers. Malicious servers could exploit unbounded deserialization logic present in the client to craft responses that may lead to arbitrary code execution on the client side.
Although version 2.1.0 introduced a mechanism to restrict deserialization via allow/deny lists, the protection was found to be bypassable under certain conditions.
In line with Microsoft’s deprecation of binary serialization in .NET 9, the project is evaluating the removal of .NET binary serialization support from the NMS API entirely in future releases.
Mitigation and Recommendations:
Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to version 2.4.0 or later, which resolves the issue. Additionally, projects depending on NMS-AMQP should migrate away from .NET binary serialization as part of a long-term hardening strategy.
Newforma Project Center Server (NPCS) accepts serialized .NET data via the '/ProjectCenter.rem' endpoint on 9003/tcp, allowing a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code with 'NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService' privileges. According to the recommended architecture, the vulnerable NPCS endpoint is only accessible on an internal network. To mitigate this vulnerability, restrict network access to NPCS.
CVE-2025-35050 is a critical remote code execution vulnerability in Newforma Project Center's Info Exchange (NIX) component. It arises from unsafe deserialization of untrusted . NET data sent to the '/remoteweb/remote.rem' endpoint, which is accessible without authentication. Exploiting this flaw allows attackers to execute arbitrary code with 'NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService' privileges, potentially compromising both NIX and associated Project Center Server systems. The vulnerability affects all versions including 2024.3 and has a CVSS 4.0 score of 9.3, indicating high severity. No public exploits are known yet, but the attack surface is significant due to network accessibility and lack of authentication.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Topal Solutions AG Topal Finanzbuchhaltung on Windows allows Remote Code Execution. This issue affects at least Topal Finanzbuchhaltung: 10.1.5.20 and is fixed in version 11.2.12.00
python-socketio is a Python implementation of the Socket.IO realtime client and server. A remote code execution vulnerability in python-socketio versions prior to 5.14.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary Python code through malicious pickle deserialization in multi-server deployments on which the attacker previously gained access to the message queue that the servers use for internal communications. When Socket.IO servers are configured to use a message queue backend such as Redis for inter-server communication, messages sent between the servers are encoded using the `pickle` Python module. When a server receives one of these messages through the message queue, it assumes it is trusted and immediately deserializes it. The vulnerability stems from deserialization of messages using Python's `pickle.loads()` function. Having previously obtained access to the message queue, the attacker can send a python-socketio server a crafted pickle payload that executes arbitrary code during deserialization via Python's `__reduce__` method. This vulnerability only affects deployments with a compromised message queue. The attack can lead to the attacker executing random code in the context of, and with the privileges of a Socket.IO server process. Single-server systems that do not use a message queue, and multi-server systems with a secure message queue are not vulnerable. In addition to making sure standard security practices are followed in the deployment of the message queue, users of the python-socketio package can upgrade to version 5.14.0 or newer, which remove the `pickle` module and use the much safer JSON encoding for inter-server messaging.
CVE-2023-49886 is a critical vulnerability in IBM Transformation Extender Advanced version 10.0.1.10, caused by unsafe Java deserialization. This flaw allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code without authentication or user interaction by sending specially crafted input. The vulnerability impacts confidentiality, integrity, and availability, with a CVSS score of 9.8. No known exploits are currently reported in the wild. European organizations using this IBM product are at high risk, especially those in finance, manufacturing, and government sectors. Mitigation requires immediate patching once available, restricting network access to the affected service, and implementing strict input validation and monitoring.
DataChain is a Python-based AI-data warehouse for transforming and analyzing unstructured data. Versions 0.34.1 and below allow for deseriaization of untrusted data because of the way the DataChain library reads serialized objects from environment variables (such as DATACHAIN__METASTORE and DATACHAIN__WAREHOUSE) in the loader.py module. An attacker with the ability to set these environment variables can trigger code execution when the application loads. This issue is fixed in version 0.34.2.
Deserialization of untrusted data in python in pyfory versions 0.12.0 through 0.12.2, or the legacy pyfury versions from 0.1.0 through 0.10.3: allows arbitrary code execution. An application is vulnerable if it reads pyfory serialized data from untrusted sources. An attacker can craft a data stream that selects pickle-fallback serializer during deserialization, leading to the execution of `pickle.loads`, which is vulnerable to remote code execution.
Users are recommended to upgrade to pyfory version 0.12.3 or later, which has removed pickle fallback serializer and thus fixes this issue.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache IoTDB.
This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.0.0 before 2.0.5.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.5, which fixes the issue.
SolarWinds Web Help Desk versions up to and including 12.8.7 are vulnerable to an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability via deserialization of untrusted data in the AjaxProxy component. This vulnerability is a patch bypass of previous CVEs (2024-28988 and 2024-28986) and allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the host system without authentication. It has a critical CVSS score of 9.8 and is known to be exploited in the wild, including use in ransomware campaigns.
