WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions 25.0 and below, the official Docker deployment files (docker-compose.yml, env.example) ship with the admin password set to "password", which is automatically used to seed the admin account during installation, meaning any instance deployed without overriding SYSTEM_ADMIN_PASSWORD is immediately vulnerable to trivial administrative takeover. No compensating controls exist: there is no forced password change on first login, no complexity validation, no default-password detection, and the password is hashed with weak MD5. Full admin access enables user data exposure, content manipulation, and potential remote code execution via file uploads and plugin management. The same insecure-default pattern extends to database credentials (avideo/avideo), compounding the risk. Exploitation depends on operators failing to change the default, a condition likely met in quick-start, demo, and automated deployments. This issue has been fixed in version 26.0.
AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. In 1.11.1 and earlier, On default installations where no password or API key has been configured, all HTTP endpoints and the agent WebSocket lack authentication, and the server's CORS policy accepts any origin. AnythingLLM Desktop binds to 127.0.0.1 (loopback) by default. Modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) implement Private Network Access (PNA). This explicitly blocks public websites from making requests to local IP addresses. Exploitation is only viable from within the same local network (LAN) due to browser-level blocking of public-to-private requests.
CVE-2026-31957 is a critical vulnerability in himmelblau versions 3.0.0 up to but not including 3.1.0, an interoperability suite for Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Intune. The issue arises when himmelblau is deployed without a configured tenant domain in its configuration file, causing authentication to be unscoped to any tenant. This allows the system to accept authentication attempts for arbitrary Entra ID domains by dynamically registering providers at runtime, which is intended only for initial or local bootstrap scenarios. In remote authentication environments, this behavior can lead to unauthorized access, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 10.0, indicating critical severity, and is fixed in version 3.
An unauthenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in the SNMP service of International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) SFX Series SuperFlex SatelliteReceiver. The deployment insecurely provisions the `private` SNMP community string with read/write access by default. Because the SNMP agent runs as root, an unauthenticated remote attacker can utilize `NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB` directives, abusing the fact that the system runs a vulnerable version of net-snmp pre 5.8, to execute arbitrary operating system commands with root privileges.
FUXA is a web-based Process Visualization (SCADA/HMI/Dashboard) software. An insecure default configuration in FUXA allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain administrative access and execute arbitrary code on the server. This affects FUXA through version 1.2.9 when authentication is enabled, but the administrator JWT secret is not configured. This issue has been patched in FUXA version 1.2.10.
The Advanced Country Blocker plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.3.1 due to the use of a predictable default value for the secret bypass key created during installation without requiring users to change it. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to bypass the geolocation blocking mechanism by appending the key to any URL on sites where the administrator has not changed the default value.
CVE-2026-25499 is a high-severity vulnerability in the terraform-provider-proxmox prior to version 0.93.1, involving insecure default initialization of resources. The issue arises from an insecure sudoer line suggested in the SSH configuration documentation, which allows directory traversal via '.. /' sequences. This flaw enables attackers to edit arbitrary files on the system without authentication or user interaction. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 8.7, indicating a network-exploitable, high-impact issue affecting integrity. It has been patched in version 0.
The exos 9300 application can be used to configure Access Managers (e.g.92xx, 9230 and 9290). The configuration is done in a graphical user interface on the dormakaba exos server. As soon as the save button is clicked in exos 9300, the whole configuration is sent to the selected Access Manager via SOAP. The SOAP request is sent without any prior authentication or authorization by default. Though authentication and authorization can be configured using IPsec for 92xx-K5 devices and mTLS for 92xx-K7 devices, it is not enabled by default and must therefore be activated with additional steps.
This insecure default allows an attacker with network level access to completely control the whole environment. An attacker is for example easily able to conduct the following tasks without prior authentication:
- Re-configure Access Managers (e.g.remove alarming system requirements)
- Freely re-configure the inputs and outputs
- Open all connected doors permanently
- Open all doors for a defined time interval
- Change the admin password
- and many more
Network level access can be gained due to an insufficient network segmentation as well as missing LAN firewalls. Devices with an insecure configuration have been identified to be directly exposed to the internet.
On the exos 9300 server, a SOAP API is reachable on port 8002. This API does not require any authentication prior to sending requests. Therefore, network access to the exos server allows e.g.the creation of arbitrary access log events as well as querying the 2FA PINs associated with the enrolled chip cards.
Projects using the SUSE Virtualization (Harvester) environment may expose the OS default ssh login password if they are using the 1.5.x or 1.6.x interactive installer to either create a new cluster or add new hosts to an existing cluster. The environment is not affected if the PXE boot mechanism is utilized along with the Harvester configuration setup.
Kentico Xperience 13 is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting attack via a form component, allowing an attacker to hijack a victim user’s session and perform actions in their security context.
Incorrect configuration of replication security in the MariaDB component of the infra-operator in YAOOK Operator allows an on-path attacker to read database contents, potentially including credentials
Misskey is an open source, federated social media platform. Attackers who use an untrusted reverse proxy or not using a reverse proxy at all can bypass IP rate limiting by adding a forged X-Forwarded-For header. Starting with version 2025.9.1, an option (`trustProxy`) has been added in config file to prevent this from happening. However, it is initialized with an insecure default value before version 2025.12.0-alpha.2, making it still vulnerable if the configuration is not set correctly. This is patched in v2025.12.0-alpha.2 by flipping default value of `trustProxy` to `false`. Users of a trusted reverse proxy who are unsure if they manually overode this value should check their config for optimal behavior. Users are running Misskey with a trusted reverse proxy should not be affected by this vulnerability. From v2025.9.1 to v2025.11.1, workaround is available. Set `trustProxy: false` in config file.
### Description
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) Python SDK does not enable DNS rebinding protection by default for HTTP-based servers. When an HTTP-based MCP server is run on localhost without authentication using `FastMCP` with streamable HTTP or SSE transport, and has not configured `TransportSecuritySettings`, a malicious website could exploit DNS rebinding to bypass same-origin policy restrictions and send requests to the local MCP server. This could allow an attacker to invoke tools or access resources exposed by the MCP server on behalf of the user in those limited circumstances.
Note that running HTTP-based MCP servers locally without authentication is not recommended per MCP security best practices. This issue does not affect servers using stdio transport.
Servers created via `FastMCP()` now have DNS rebinding protection enabled by default when the `host` parameter is `127.0.0.1` or `localhost`. Users are advised to update to version `1.23.0` to receive this automatic protection. Users with custom low-level server configurations using `StreamableHTTPSessionManager` or `SseServerTransport` directly should explicitly configure `TransportSecuritySettings` when running an unauthenticated server on localhost.
MCP TypeScript SDK is the official TypeScript SDK for Model Context Protocol servers and clients. Prior to 1.24.0, The Model Context Protocol (MCP) TypeScript SDK does not enable DNS rebinding protection by default for HTTP-based servers. When an HTTP-based MCP server is run on localhost without authentication with StreamableHTTPServerTransport or SSEServerTransport and has not enabled enableDnsRebindingProtection, a malicious website could exploit DNS rebinding to bypass same-origin policy restrictions and send requests to the local MCP server. This could allow an attacker to invoke tools or access resources exposed by the MCP server on behalf of the user in those limited circumstances. Note that running HTTP-based MCP servers locally without authentication is not recommended per MCP security best practices. This issue does not affect servers using stdio transport. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.24.0.
The BigFix SaaS's HTTP responses were missing some security headers. The absence of these headers weakens the application's client-side security posture, making it more vulnerable to common web attacks that these headers are designed to mitigate, such as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Clickjacking, and protocol downgrade attacks.
Vault’s Terraform Provider incorrectly set the default deny_null_bind parameter for the LDAP auth method to false by default, potentially resulting in an insecure configuration. If the underlying LDAP server allowed anonymous or unauthenticated binds, this could result in authentication bypass. This vulnerability, CVE-2025-13357, is fixed in Vault Terraform Provider v5.5.0.
Insecure default configuration in USB connection mode prior to SMR Nov-2025 Release 1 allows privileged physical attackers to access user data. User interaction is required for triggering this vulnerability.
By failing to authenticate three times to an unconfigured Abilis CPX device via SSH, an attacker can login to a restricted shell on the fourth attempt, and from there, relay connections.
