CVE-2025-14038 is a high-severity vulnerability in EnterpriseDB Hybrid Manager - LTS versions 1.2 and 1.3 that allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass authentication and authorization due to a misconfiguration in the Istio Gateway. This flaw permits direct access to certain gRPC endpoints, enabling attackers to read sensitive data or cause denial-of-service by sending malformed data. The root cause is missing explicit permission definitions in the Istio Gateway configuration, allowing requests to bypass security controls. No known exploits are currently reported in the wild. The vulnerability is remediated in version 1.3.3 for LTS and 2025.12 for Innovation editions, and organizations are strongly advised to upgrade promptly.
